Brigham Young University.
This university is located in Rexburg. Courses provided include EMT Certification, EMT Advanced and a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services Administration. To get into the Bachelor’s program, students must complete an EMT class and hold a suitable Grade Point Average (GPA) in mathematics and science essential courses. Students take assessments regularly and are also granted the chance to gain hands-on and lab experiences. Students can also ride along in ambulances and work in a hospital environment. The Paramedic program at BYU is accredited from the Committee of Accreditation of Educational Programs for the EMS professions.
College of Southern Idaho.
This college in the city of Twin Falls offers various different EMT programs including an Associate of Applied Science for Paramedics, a Paramedic Technical Certificate and an EMT Technical Certificate program. The EMT Technical Certificate program covers topics from the AEMT course. The Paramedic program includes completion of 3 lecture sessions, 3 lab classes and 3 clinical classes.
Idaho State University.
Located in Pocatello, offers an Associate of Science in Paramedic Science. This is considered a competitive course since there is a very small number of students that are allowed to take the course in a year. The course is 4 semesters long and students can take courses on pharmacology, ECG interpretation, trauma care and medical emergencies.
Lewis-Clark State College.
This college is located in the area of Lewiston, making it easier and possible for students in that area to pursue an EMT career. Courses offered include an EMT Course and a Paramedic program. This college also provides online training option for students who aren’t able to attend at the campus. Students in the class can learn about respiratory management, trauma and cardiac emergencies, and patient condition assessment. To apply for the Paramedic program, students are required to hold a current CPR card, pass a background check, pass certain immunizations, and pass an anatomy and physiology class and hold an EMT license.

EMT Training Online – Idaho
Online training is a learning method designed to enable students to work at their own pace and flexibility. It is a great help for students who are working or parenting during the week.
The hands-on skills and psycho-motor training will be done at the end once all online material is completed. It will take four days to complete and you will be training with experienced instructors.
The Registration Process:
- You will schedule the hands-on skills week of your choice.
- Make sure you give yourself enough time to complete the online material.
- The didactic portion must be completed before your hands-on skills week.
- You have one year from the registration date to complete the entire course.
Once you complete registration payment, your textbook will be shipped the following business day. Please allow up to 10 business days for delivery.
The online course, textbook, online lectures, study materials, clinical rotations, drug testing, background check, NREMT psycho-motor testing and the uniform polo shirt are all inclusive in the registration fees.

A variety of different agencies and educational institutions offer EMT or CPR training and certification. All certified courses can be found on the website.
How does registration work?
Training courses will not be confirmed until registration is complete and full payment has been made. Once full payment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email outlining training program outcomes, locations and the date/time. Registration is open as long as it’s not full or until the start of class.
How do I receive a reprint of a course certificate?
Once you successfully complete courses from the CSI Work Development and Training, you will receive certificates of completion. Reprints of certificates for courses completed are available in paper or digital format according to the type of course completed.
How long is the EMT course?
The EMT course is 178 hours and includes both hands-on training and online learning.
What exams do EMTs need to take?
EMT candidates are required to complete a skill examination and a written examination at the end of the course.
